1. INTRODUCTION

tw240 The TCPWave TW240 appliance is a small, affordable, yet powerful DDI hardened appliance ideal for remote DNS/DHCP operations. The TW240 hardened server is based on the rock solid, industry-proven Dell PowerEdge R240. Together, TCPWave and Dell specify, validate, and deliver a platform consisting of TCPWave secure software that optimally controls and future proofs your DDI environment.

The TW240 is available in the Remote configuration which provides the secure communication layer along with DNS/DHCP and other network services (NTP, SNMP, resiliency) that are tailored to provide non-stop DNS/DHCP functionality. An IPAM appliance must also be included to provide the IP Address Management functionality. The IPAM appliance can be a high-end TW740, mid-range TW440 or a software appliance based on VM running on-prem or in the Cloud.
